The Cybernetic Infantry Device (abbreviated CID) is an electronic hydraulically powered exoskeleton surrounding a fully enclosed composite protective shell.
The CID was an experimental program run by the Army Research Lab' Infantry Transformation BattleLab in Fort Polk, Louisiana in attempt to modernize the combat infantryman.
