“ | Ready to serve! - U.S. Marine |
” |
The United States Marine is the standard infantry unit of the U.S. Army. Well trained and well armed, the Marine is good at assaulting and defending in buildings.[2]
Overview[]
“ | Just say the word! - U.S. Marine |
” |
Marines are fast, and a full squad can be a threat to low-flying helicopters. You can ask a Marine to crawl, hide, ambush, and capture prisoners of war. They are also fairly priced.
Marines can also be upgraded with M203 grenade launchers (from the Barracks in Direct Action; for each individual Marine in High Treason), which gives them a bonus bit of burst damage when fighting clustered infantry, light armor, and helicopters. Although it takes a while to reload and not ideal, this will give US Marines a better chance against vehicles and inflict a serious hurt against elite infantry when they have to, making them potentially the most powerful basic infantry unit, as well as best in terms of cost efficiency.
Abilities[]
Capture Selected unit(s) will capture all enemy POWs in the target location designated on the map. |
Crawl Selected unit will change to crawl stance. A crawling soldier is much harder to detect for enemy units, but reduces speed. Ability can only be used if the infantry is in standing stance. |
Ambush Selected unit(s) will hide behind cover, such as trees or civilian vehicles, to do more damage. |
Upgrades[]
M203 grenade launcher The U.S. Marine can launch a grenade, every four shoots, which causes 60 HE of damage in a radius of 3. Can be researched from the Barracks in Direct Action[2]; from each individual Marine in High Treason[1]. |
