Die, pigs!
- TX99 Akula

The TX99 Akula is an experimental unmanned Consortium heavy tank. It was built around a new railgun cannon and optical camo system.

Overview[]

At the ready!
- TX99 Akula

Akula has stealth and powerful weapons with medium speed, but low health. They can be improved with a damage upgrade

A mainstay of Consortium combat, Akulas can take great advantage of their stealth ability to cover themselves and pull off surprise attacks or ambushes. Opponents with limited forms of stealth detection can often be left dazed and confused when Akulas are used strategically to perform hit and runs, as well as blocking off choke points to prevent enemy advance. As a bonus, since the Akula is unmanned, it does not produce pilots when destroyed.

Despite their power, Akulas have low health for a vehicle of their role. Though they can deal significant damage, they will easily falter as soon as they break stealth, which can happen when they run over something or open fire, necessitating support and cover from other units. Its high price tag doesn't help either, as losing one can potentially cost a significant amount of momentum and create an opening for attackers. Intensive micromanagement is often necessary to make the most of it.
