The V-22 Repair VTOL Rotorcraft is the Consortium's repair variant of the V-22 Osprey. It is deployed at the VTOL pad and costs $1000.[1]
Originally the V-22 would passively heal nearby vehicles when landed. However, in High Treason this was changed and the V-22 will now land to deploy a repair field which will quickly regenerate vehicles for several seconds. It needs to be recharged after use.[2]
Background[]
The V-22 originated from the United States Department of Defense Joint-service Vertical take-off/landing Experimental (JVX) aircraft program started in 1981. The team of Bell Helicopter and Boeing Helicopters was awarded a development contract in 1983 for the tiltrotor aircraft.
The Bell Boeing team jointly produce the aircraft. The V-22 first flew in 1989, and began flight testing and design alterations; the complexity and difficulties of being the first tiltrotor intended for military service in the world led to many years of development.
Abilities[]
Land Rotorcraft will land, allowing it to repair vehicles on the ground and avoid anti-air missiles. Ability can only be used if the rotorcraft is in the air. |
Take off Rotorcraft will take off from the ground, allowing for movement. Ability can only be used if the rotorcraft is landed on the ground. |
